as well as its subsequent restoration.

London Canal Museum
If you are cruising on the Regent's Canal, you can moor your boat beside the museum whilst you visit - subject to space being available. There is no charge for mooring a boat whilst those on board visit the museum. Overnight mooring is possible for a small charge (approx: £6 per night per boat) but space cannot be guaranteed unless booked in advance. Priority is given to visitors and visiting groups in the use of the mooring. Battlebridge Basin is between St. Pancras Lock and the west end of Islington Tunnel. Turn into the basin and the museum is on your left. Page about moorings information.

housed in a splendid Victorian warehouse at the historic Gloucester Docks. Museum charts the fascinating story of Britain's canals, concentrating on providing fascinating 'hands on' displays covering a whole range of waterways related topics. Enter through a replica lock chamber, complete with running water, as exhibits, interactive computers and videos help give you a taste of what it was like to live and work on the waterways.
Their historic boat collection includes narrowboats, river barges, canal and river tugs, as well as a steam powered dredger. There is also a steam crane and heavy oil engine in the setting of a canal repair yard, complete with working machine shop, forge and weighbridge.
